Hazel Blanche Dyar

Hazel Blanche Dyar, 98, of Metamora, IL passed away at 4:38 pm on Friday, February 5, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on October 4, 1922 in Spring Bay, IL to Orville and Anna (Vaubel) Fauber. She married Ronald W. Dyar on August 20, 1950 in Metamora. He passed away on December 30, 2014.

Surviving are her daughter, Robin (Fadi) Abushacra of East Peoria; son, Keith Dyar of Peoria; three grandchildren, Rachel (Derek) Eastman, Joshua (Sarah) Roy, and Nicole Dyar; nine great-grandchildren, Joseph, Lydia, Samuel, Ezekiel, Abel, Maya, Liam, Isaiah, and Evelyn; and one brother, Ray (Eleanor) Fauber of Bartonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Verna and Mabel, and six brothers Elmer, Clifford, Clarence, Benjamin, Lowell, and Lloyd.

Hazel was a member of Christian Union Church in Metamora. She was self-employed and loved helping others.

Private family funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Reverend Gary Salm officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora.
