Harvey J. Miller age 93 of Metamora, Illinois formerly of Roanoke and Benson, Illinois passed away 8:30pm Sunday Dec. 23, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born Dec. 19, 1919 in rural Washburn to John F. and Minnie (Schoon) Miller. He married Sally L. Karr on Aug. 8, 1941 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in rural Benson, and she passed away Sept. 15, 2005. Harvey then married Dorothy Clanin on Dec. 2, 2006 also at St. Peter Lutheran Church, and she survives. Surviving is one sister, Leona Bockler of Metamora; nieces and nephews, Arthur (Janet) Tucek of Seattle, WA., Eugene (Carol) Morgan of Pentwater, MI., Deanna (Norman) Hill of Pekin, Janet (Max) Owens of Lewistown, IL., and many great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three step children, Clifford (Vickie) Clanin of Merryville, IL., Shelia Scott of Aurora, CO., Sandra (Fred) Whaley of Kalona, Iowa, 2 step grandchildren and 4 great step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one nephew Bill Tucek. Harvey was a life long farmer as well as a life long member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Member of Woodford County Farm Bureau, and served on the church council and on the Church?s Cemetery board for 15 years. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Saturday Dec. 29, 2012 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in rural Benson with Rev. Bill Hecht officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4pm until 7pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel, and also one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery and Snyder Village. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com
