Obituary

Harold K. Pedigo, 96, of Metamora, Illinois, formerly of Washington, Illinois, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Snyder Village in Metamora.

He was born on October 5, 1929, in rural Knox County, Illinois, to Robert and Frances Hill Pedigo. He married Beverly Caldwell on March 30, 1950, in Creve Coeur, Illinois.

Surviving are his wife of Metamora, along with their four children: Sharon (Gary) Carroll of Hopedale, Illinois; Steven (Karen) Pedigo of Rockford, Illinois; Connie (John) Haase of Peoria, Illinois; and David (Becky) Pedigo of Ripon, Wisconsin. He also leaves behind 15 cherished grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Lynn J. and Robert E. Pedigo III, and his sister, Helen Freeman.

Harold was proud to serve as an honorably discharged U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict. He started his journey at Caterpillar Tractor in May 1947, right after finishing high school, and spent most of his remarkable 43-year career working in the tool room.

Harold's family truly values the wonderful care the entire staff at Snyder Village has provided over the past six years. They are grateful for the kindness and support they've received.

A funeral service is set for Noon on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will take place afterwards at Glendale Cemetery in Washington, where Military Honors will be rendered. Memorial contributions can be made to Snyder Village in Metamora.
