Harold J. Kennell

Mr. Harold J. Kennell of Wenona, Illinois went to be with Jesus on August 9, 2014 at the age of 84. Harold was born on August 11, 1929 in Roanoke, Illinois to Peter S. and Sarah Keller Kennell. On August 2, 1955 he was married to Louise M. Miller of Buffalo Center, Iowa. A member of Cazenovia Mennonite Church, he was a farmer who had a humble, simple faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter Karen Kay Kennell, three sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Marillou (Marli) Kennell of Estes Park, Colorado and Patricia (Ted) Sobel of Oakridge, Oregon; one son, Jeffrey (Laurel) Kennell of Wenona; and seven grandchildren, Grace, Rose, Peter, Emily and Daniel Kennell, Jazlin and Sonya Sobel. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Cazenovia Mennonite Church, Cazenovia. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the church. Burial will be in Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery, rural Roanoke. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cazenovia Mennonite Church designated missions.
