Grace Nafziger

WASHINGTON-Grace M. Nafziger, 98, of Eureka, formerly of Washington passed away peacefully at 6:00am Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at her residence. Grace was born on April 19, 1919 in rural Eureka, IL, daughter of William and Emma (Rastetter) Nafziger. She was preceded in death by her six brothers; Lester, Earl, Lee, Herbert, Glenn, and Harvey along with three sisters Lillian Aschenbrenner, Ina Nafziger and Elsie Dina. Surviving are four nieces and four nephews. Also surviving is her loving caretaker for the last few years, Debbie Massengill. She enjoyed many things in life including her flower garden, making lap robes for residents of Maple Lawn Homes, Comforters with the ladies of the Calvary Evangelical Mennonite Church for the Mennonite Relief Sale and baking cookies for her neighbors and friends. A funeral for Grace will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Calvary Evangelical Mennonite Church. Pastor Clayton Tinervin will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Monday, May 15, 2017, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Further visitation will be one-half hour prior to her service Tuesday at the church.
