PEKIN - Glenda Albright, 89, of Pekin, passed away at 7:57 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015 at her residence. Glenda was born on July 13, 1925 in Gideon, Missouri to Oscar and Amanda Catherine "Mandy" (Teel) Reeves. Among those surviving are three daughters, Barbara (John) Hogate, Kathy (Ron) Meeks and Rebecca (Mark) Nance; four sons, Fred (Vicki) Albright, Clinton (Pat) Albright, Mark Albright and Joe (Sue) Garnett; two sisters, Naomi (Ralph) Burson and Velma (Jackie) Adkins; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Ulyea (Vernon) Reeves Redpath, Hilda Reeves (Charles Winford) Harrison, Jeanette Reeves (John) McAlister, Mary Reeves (Tom) McLean; two brothers, Ethridge Reeves and Vernon (Waneta) Reeves; two daughters, Linda Kay Albright and Joyce Ann Albright (Jesse) Fowler and one granddaughter, Jennifer (Duane) Vancil. Glenda was a devoted Christian and Warrior for Christ and loved the Lord with all of her heart. She was a devoted and wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She raised nine kids and loved them dearly, her kids were her life. She loved working in the church, a devoted member of the choir and loved to sing. She loved to laugh, joke around and have a good time. She loved helping others and always had compassion for the less fortunate. Even though her memory was failing her she always remembered her God and her children. Her family loved her with all of their heart and she will be dearly missed. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Pekin. Funeral services for Glenda will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in East Peoria with Pastor Fred Doughty and Pastor Mark Dexter officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 29 and one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is assisting the family in arrangements. Memorials for Glenda may be directed to Alzheimers Association.
