Geraldine Bumeter

Geraldine Bumeter, 84 of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 1:53pm Friday Feb. 15, 2013 at her residence. She was born March 31, 1928 in Peoria IL., to Clarence and Ethel (Turner) Garrison. She married Harold Bumeter on Aug. 17, 1947 in Peoria and he passed away in 2007. Surviving are two sons, Steven (Cindy) Bumeter of Metamora, Ricky (Donna) of Defiance, MO., Eight loving grandchildren, Scott, Brett, Dawn, Troy, Andrea, Casey, Christopher, and Brandon; 18 great grandchildren and another due in August. Also surviving are two sister-in-laws, Clara Roland of Chicago, Elma (Charles) Barth of Washington, IL., and brother-in-law, Clayton (Zella) Osler of Peoria and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Geraldine was a long time Co-Owner with her husband Harold of Lake Wildwind Mobile Home Park in Metamora. She was one of twelve members of the Life Long Girls Club spanning 60 plus years. Member of ABWA Fondulac Charter Chapter and was Boss of the year in 1976. She enjoyed bowling, music, and dancing. "Gerry" as she was known by friends, and of course, mom, grandma, great grandma, and aunt by family, gave much love to all who came in contact with her. Her life dream was to be surrounded by a large family. Her life achievements were shared with her husband Harold.
