Gerald Sheets age 71 of Lowpoint, Illinois passed away at 12:40am Saturday July 21, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. He was born Nov. 12, 1940 in Peoria to John W. and Bertha (Hill) Sheets. He married Suellen Foster on Feb. 17, 1962 in Washburn, Illinois and she survives. Surviving are his children, David Sheets of Lowpoint, Darryl (Amy) Sheets of Metamora, and Karen Sheets of Washington, IL. He is also survived by two brothers, Ellis "Butch" (Janet) Sheets of Mapleton, IL, Mike Sheets of Madison WI, and one sister Victoria Reynolds of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by sisters, Lillian and Gladys. Gerald was a self employed Trucker and was a member of Washburn Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Wednesday July 25, 2012 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Rev. Pat Jones officiaiting. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home and also one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Linn Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Washburn.
