Gerald E. "Jerry" Bundy Sr, 75, of Roanoke, passed away at his residence on Saturday, February 10, 2024.

He was born on September 16, 1948, in La Harpe, IL, a son of Roy and Virgie (Collins) Bundy. They preceded him in death, along with a grandson, Ronald Bundy Jr, and his siblings, Thomas, Glenda, Jim, Nyla, and Silvia.

Jerry is survived by his sons, Gerald (Amy) Bundy Jr of Crestview, FL, Ronald Bundy Sr of Peoria, Stuart (Elizabeth) Bundy of Port St. Joe, FL, and William Bundy of Kappa; siblings, Charlene, Mike, Elizabeth, Byron, and Nancy; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 until his honorable discharge in March 1970.

Jerry was a machinist at McBride & Shoff in Metamora for 20 years. He later worked as a machinist at G&D Transportation in Morton, IL. He was a member of the American Legion in Roanoke, Washburn, and a lifetime member in La Harpe. He enjoyed bowling and was in many leagues throughout his lifetime.

A Celebration of Jerry's life will be at 2 pm on Friday, February 16, 2024, at the American Legion Post 463 in Roanoke. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be given to the La Harpe American Legion Post 301,102-198 E 1st Ave, La Harpe, IL 61450.
