Gary L. Tweddale

Gary L. Tweddale, 76, of Washington, IL, formerly of Metamora, IL passed away at 3:30 am Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Unity Point Proctor Hospital with his family by his side. Gary was born on December 9, 1937 to Charles D. and Bernice (Wineteer) Tweddale in Peoria, IL. He married Patricia Kimberlin on May 21, 1961. He was preceded in death by both parents Surviving is his wife, Patricia, of Washington and their son, Scott (Tari) Tweddale of Champaign, IL. Gary was raised in Washburn, IL and lived most of his adult life in Metamora, IL. He worked at Hallmark Fixtures, a division of Hallmark Cards, for 37 years, retiring in 1993. He later worked part time as a driver for Mangold Ford-Mercury in Eureka, IL. He was a member of Metamora Christian Union Church, Metamora, IL. Gary enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was an avid fan of 1950?s era cars. The family would like to express their gratitude to OSF Home Health Care. Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Metamora Christian Union Church, Metamora with Rev. Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-7 pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Burial will be in Linn-Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Washburn, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Metamora Christian Union Church or the Washington Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
