Frederick E. Schirer Sr

Frederick E. Schirer Sr. 81, of Roanoke passed away at 8:26pm Thursday February 2, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center of Illinois in Peoria. He was born on May 27, 1930 in Roanoke the son of Earl L and Frieda Schulthes Schirer. Surviving are two sons Earl (Wendy) Schirer and Frederick (Erin) Schirer all of Metamora, and one daughter Pamela Schupp of Peoria. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren as well as 4 great grandchildren. Further surviving are two sisters Harriet (Fred) Wolfe of Eureka and Laurie (Dick) Riggert of Metamora. One brother Charles Schirer and one sister Pearl Hackney preceded him in death. Fred was a self-employed farmer farming in the Metamora and Roanoke area all of his life. At the request of Fred, his remains will be gifted to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. Memorials may be given in his name to a charity of the donor?s choice.
