Fred J. Lemkemann

Fred J. Lemkemann age 85 of E. Peoria, Illinois passed away at 5:55pm Sunday May 13, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. He was born Nov. 15, 1926 in Peoria, IL to Fred H. and Lydia (Renekamp) Lemkemann. He married Teresa C. Carr on Feb. 7, 1948 in Peoria; she survives. Also surviving are his children, John (Jeanne) Lemkemann and Joe (Jodi) Lemkemann both of E. Peoria, Jan (Steve) Austin of Peoria, Julie (Jim) Packman of Washington, Jamie (John) Dixon of Metamora, 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and one sister, Elvera Seeds of Peoria. Fred was preceded in death by his brother Alan Lemkemann, a sister Winnie Robey and great grandson Dax Locke. Fred was a WWII Navy Veteran and the owner of Lemkemann Concrete Construction retiring in 2002. He was also a member of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in rural Metamora. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing and duck hunting on the Illinois River. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial service pending.
