Franklin James "Frank" Jones, Sr., 74, of Metamora, IL, passed away peacefully at 8:05 pm on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at his home with family by his side.

He was born on August 31, 1948, in Beebe, Arkansas, to Lester D. and Thelma C. (Cochran) Jones. He married Pamela J. Platt on January 7, 1972 in Peoria, IL. She passed away on December 8, 2021.

Surviving are his two sons, Bo (Tonya) Jones and Jason (Jackie) Jones both of Metamora; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William (Tina) Jones of Peoria, IL and Lester (Vennie) Jones of Arlington, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Stacy Conaway, and sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Danny Kincaid.

Frank was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked as a factory worker for Caterpillar Tractor Company. Frank was an incredibly patient and hardworking man. He was a great role model and provider who would do anything for his family at the drop of a hat. His family was his whole world. His house was a second home to all of his kids and grandkids and he always made sure the property was kept up for everyone to use. He had pride in what a beautiful view he created for everyone. He loved taking all of the younger grandkids on golf cart rides down to the pond where they would watch him feed the catfish. Much of our family time was spent drinking coffee on the porch, laughing, and reminiscing.

Frank would never complain. Even through the last difficult years of his life, he always lived with dignity and took care of those around him. Especially his loving wife of 49 years, Pam, and passed down a legacy of family values and love to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
