Frank J. Hobbs

Frank J. Hobbs, 68, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 9:54pm, Monday October 23, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 11, 1949 in Peoria, son of Cleo and Mildred Hicks Hobbs. He married Jean Myers on May 23, 1969 in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter Tiffany (Jim) Taylor of East Peoria and their children Nick and Alivia. Also surviving are one sister Debi (Pete) Wong of East Peoria and two nephews Clayton and Tyler Unes. His parents and one brother Terry preceded him in death.

He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 31 years last working as a fabrication specialist before retiring in 2003. He loved gardening anything outdoors, sports and being an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Fighting Illini Sports.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, at First United Methodist Church of East Peoria. Rev. Mike Robison will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. also at the church. In honor of his beloved cats, memorials in his name may be given to Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS).
