Frances "Renee" (Riddle) Friedrich

Frances R. Friedrich, 67, of Peoria passed away at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at her residence.

She was born on March 8, 1952 in Columbia, SC the daughter of William and Margaret Threatt Riddle. She also had a biological father, Frank Baldwin. She graduated from Lexington High School in SC. She married John Grunloh and moved to Illinois to start a family with him. Later in her life, she married Michael Friedrich.

Surviving are one daughter Karen Grunloh of West Peoria and one son Mark Grunloh of Pekin.  Also surviving are three grandchildren London Grunloh, Brittain Massey and Ashley Grunloh.  Also surviving are one brother Mark Riddle and one sister,Rhonda Riddle(Johnson).

Frances ,who went by middle name, Renee by those who loved her, was very much in love with Jesus and anything representing him. She would pray and talk  and write to him daily. She was strong in her Christian faith. She was a homemaker much of her life. She did work 3 jobs at intervals of her life. One was sales for Foster and Gallagher.  One was a sales associate at Fashion Bug. The last was sales at Kirby. She was a talented drawer with a creative gift. She loved books and music with her favorite being Elvis Presley. She was very much into her grandchildren and was excited to see them when she could. She will be dearly missed.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Her remains are going to be scheduled to be taken back to South Carolina.  A celebration of life service will be held, Saturday, February 29, 2020, at City Church 335 Sabella St. in Pekin at 3:00 pm. There will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
