Frances Marie Ioerger

Frances Marie Ioerger, 74, of rural Metamora passed away at 6:39pm Wednesday, December 26th, in the emergency room of OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born January 13, 1938, in Peoria, IL to Charles "Al" and Anna M. (Kelch) Gardner, she married Marvin K. Ioerger on May 25, 1957 at Saint Bernard?s Church in Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving are daughters: Karen (Rich) Oljace, Washington, IL and Marianne (Gary) Skinner, Normal, IL and sons, Michael (Tracey), Edward (Heather) Ioerger both of Metamora, David (Samantha), Pekin, IL and Jacob (Nicci) of North Aurora, IL and Son-in-law David Shirk of Washington, IL; Grandchildren Jason Oljace, Amy (Adam) Schertz, Kaitlyn Oljace, Angela Skinner, Deborah Skinner, Emily Ioerger, Luke Ioerger, Cassidy Ioerger, Joshua Shirk, Nicholas Shirk, Katherine Ioerger, Samuel Ioerger, Maxwell Ioerger, Anna Ioerger, Austin Ioerger, Audrey Ioerger, A.J. Ioerger, Great-Grandchildren Boone and Tatum Schertz of Comstock, TX, sisters Mildred Bannister, Morton, IL and Sister Lucille Gardner, San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by daughter Michelle Marie Shirk, her parents, five brothers and one sister. She graduated from the Academy of our Lady and attended the St. Francis School of Nursing both in Peoria. Fran was a long time member of Saint Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in rural Metamora and its Lady?s Society. Frances spent her whole life caring for and loving her beloved husband of fifty-five years, and her family. She volunteered at many places and constantly helped others. She had a great love for Saint Mary?s school and Catholic education. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Monday December 31st at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in rural Metamora with Fr. Neri Greskoviak as celebrant. Visitation will be from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday December 30th at Mason Funeral Home in Germantown Hills. Recitation of the Rosary will be 5pm on Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Saint Mary?s Metamora Grade School.
