Evelyn R. Aberle

WASHINGTON?Evelyn R. Aberle, 92, formerly of Washington, died on January 20, 2013 in Jacksonville, Illinois. Evie was born on August 17, 1920 to Otto and Rose Loser Meister in Eureka. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ralph Aberle. They were married on July 4, 1941 in Kahokia, Missouri and Ralph passed away on August 5, 2011 in Jacksonville. Among those surviving are three children, Rachel (Dwan) Gullett of O?Fallon, IL, Carolyn (Bud) Beck of Jacksonville and Michael (Cindy) Aberle of Pekin; ten grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one sister, Arvilla Hume of Eugene, OR. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, George and Earl Meister and two sisters, Mae Meister and Lillian DeLong. Evie was a member of Grace Bible Church in Washington for many years. She was a homemaker and was known for her smile and homemade rolls. Funeral services for Evie will be on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Adam Kipp officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, south of Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials for Evie may be directed to Kennel Lake Sportsman Club.
