Eugene M. Zerwekh

Eugene M. "Gene" Zerwekh age 84 of E. Peoria, Illinois passed away on Jan. 10, 2012 at Heartland of Riverview in E. Peoria, IL. He was born Nov. 17, 1927 in Peoria, IL to Maurice A. and Pauline S. (Sanmann) Zerwekh. Surviving is one sister Marjorie Gramm of Peoria; special friend of many years Betty Bridges of E. Peoria; one niece Patricia (Dr. Anthony) Cutilletta of Chicago, and Betty?s grandchildren and great grandchildren that he loved as his own. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Lee Gramm. Gene worked in the Nail Division at Keystone Steel for 31 years. Life long member of Peoria Skeet and Trap Club. He was a outdoorsman, avid duck and goose hunter, member of Ducks Unlimited, National Rifle Association of America, and Illinois Trap Shooters Association. Life long Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and was of the Lutheran faith. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Friday Jan. 13, 2012 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Pastor Stephen Barnes officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
