Ethel M. Noll age 92 of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 3:45am Thursday Sept. 1, 2011 at Snyder Village in Metamora, IL. She was born May 8, 1919 in Metamora to John and Kathryn (Obery) Seckler. She married Virgil L. Noll June 30, 1937 in Metamora, he passed away April 10, 1997. Surviving are her children Janet Noll, and Judith Hartman both of Peoria, John "Jack" Noll of Washington, Steven (Shirley) Noll of E. Peoria, and Larry (Linda) Noll of Metamora. Also surviving are her grandchildren Chad, Matthew, Aaron, Jason, Ben, Brandon, and Austin Noll, Kristan Tormanen and Rachel Davis. She has 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren with one expected in March. Sister-in-law Vida (Gilbert) Schierer of Metamora, many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by one infant daughter Diane, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 brother-in-laws and one sister-in-law. Ethel was a hairdresser owning Ethel?s Beauty Nook in Metamora for 61 years. Member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society. 50 year member of American Legion Auxiliary. Ethel was a great mom and loved to cook and bake pies. She loved to quilt; quilting over 50 of them by hand for family, church, and the Crittenton Centers. She will be missed. A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00am Tuesday Sept. 6, 2011 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Metamora with Father Don Roszkowski officiating. Visitation will be from 9am until 10:30am at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery in Metamora. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary?s School and St. Jude Midwest Affiliate. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com
