Estrel L. Secretan

Estrel L. Secretan, 99, of Washington passed away at 4:51pm Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. She was born on November 13, 1915 in Peoria County, IL the daughter of John and F. Bertha Goetz Speck. She married Robert E. Secretan on December 1, 1940 in Peoria. He passed away on July 23, 1993 in Metamora. One daughter Debra Young, one son Terry, one sister Hildegard Smestad and one brother John Speck also preceded her in death. Surviving are five grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one step great grandson. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Peoria and their quilting group. Services will be 11am Saturday, June 20th, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1427 W. Lake St. in Peoria. Rev. William R. Dohle Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be one-hour prior to her service at the church. Burial will be in Swan Memory Gardens in Peoria. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name may be given to her church.
