Esther E. Belsly

Esther E. Belsly, 88, of Metamora, IL passed away at 12:20 pm on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on September 5, 1928 in Washburn, IL to Albert and Ida (Wehrli) Losher. She married Clifford D. Belsly on October 20, 1946 in Spring Bay, IL. He passed away on August 19, 2009. Surviving are her sons Bradford "Brad" (Cheryl) Belsly and Timothy "Tim" Belsly both of Metamora; grandchildren Justin (Charlie) Belsly of Four Oaks, NC, Jessica (Justin) Steele of Canby, MN, and Jonathan (Crystal) Belsly of Metamora; great-grandchildren Jackson and Hudson Steele, Hadley Belsly, and Ava Belsly; and sister Irma Jean Bratt of Eureka. She was preceded in death by son Steven, brothers Harold and Dale Losher, and sister Ruth Fandel. Esther worked for Versa Press for 30 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed traveling, rock collecting, and rabbit figurines. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of RiversEdge United Methodist Church in Spring Bay. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11:00 am at RiversEdge United Methodist Church with Reverend Andrew Hopp officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel in Metamora. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay.
