Erica L. Carson

Erica Lynne Carson, 37, of Washington, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on June 24, 1988, in Peoria, the daughter of Dean and Janice Baker Hruby.

Surviving are her two daughters, Madison Carson and Harper Koziol, along with her parents from Washington. She also leaves behind her brother, Christopher (Stephanie) Hruby of Oro Valley, Arizona. Her maternal grandparents, Donald and Barbara Baker of Washington, are also among her loved ones. She is fondly remembered by her three nephews, Emerson, Liam, and Ronan, as well as a large family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by Tom Hagan, a wonderful person she was excited to build a future with. Her paternal grandparents, Edward and Verlyn Hruby, preceded her in death.

At her request, cremation rites have been accorded. The family will privately celebrate Erica’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to TAPS (Tazewell Animal Protective Society). Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
