Elizabeth Mcdonald

Elizabeth Ann McDonald, 78, of Washington, passed away peacefully at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2013 surrounded by her family at home. Elizabeth was born on June 24, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Loren and Fredonna (Walker) Tuggle. She married Dean McDonald on June 4, 1955. Dean survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Deanna (Brian) Reid of Morton and Angie (Steve) Hobbs of Washington; one son, Stuart McDonald of Albuquerque, NM and seven grandchildren; Trent Reid, Shannon Reid, Olivia Hobbs, Logan Hobbs, Elise Hobbs, Natalia McDonald and Marina McDonald. Her parents; one son, David Brian McDonald; one brother, Richard Tuggle and one sister, Donna Kreitler, also preceded Liz in death. Prior to retirement, Liz had worked as a secretary for Illinois Central College for more than 20 years. She was a Licensed Realtor working for BDC Realty and Jim Maloof Realty in Washington. Her main focus in life was her Christian Faith. Liz was a member of Washington Christian Church. Liz?s many enjoyments in her life included her family, especially her grandchildren. She played on several golf leagues in the area and enjoyed traveling. Funeral Services will be held 10am on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Washington Christian Church with Pastor Jeff Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be tonight from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington and one-half hour prior to services at the church. Memorials for Liz may be made to Methodist Hospice or to Washington Christian Church.
