Elizabeth Joanne Fowler

Elizabeth Joanne Fowler, 75, passed away on the morning of March 15, 2014 at her home in Germantown Hills, IL. Joanne was born on September 25, 1937, was adopted and raised by Bill and Susie Doenges. She attended school in Macomb and after high school Joanne married James A. Fowler on December 28, 1956 at his parents home in Industry, IL. They were happily married for over 57 years. She is survived by her husband Jim, 3 daughters: Kathy (Garry) Braman, Kim (Rick) Gordon, and Cheri (Jason) Vetos, 7 grandchildren: Scott Braman, Jason Gordon, Nikki Gordon, Erica (Brandon) Stewart, Danica, Develyn and Danissa Vetos, and 3 great-grandchildren: Alex Mines, Courtnee Gordon and Brody Schubert. Joanne?s parents preceded her in death. Many people in Germantown Hills will remember Joanne from Video World, the family business that she ran with her husband, daughters and grandchildren. She retired years ago to spend time reading, planting flowers and watching the birds outside her bay window. Her inner light was bright; our world will be dimmer without her. Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are scheduled. Memorials in her name may be given to the Illinois CancerCare.
