Elizabeth M. Capshaw, 88, of Peoria passed away at 1:45pm on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Unity Point Health- Methodist with family by her side.

She was born on August 5, 1927 in Edmonton, KY of the daughter the late Scott and Hallie McKiney Erwin.

Surviving are two daughters Brenda (the late John) Klein of Peoria and Dottie (Paul) Weddle of Mapleton. Also surviving are five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

She volunteered for many years at the Madison Ave. Methodist Church and Friendship House. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and helping others.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a time to celebrate her life will be from 4pm until 6pm Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Mason-White Funeral Home, 20 Valley Forge Rd in Washington.
