Elaine Peterson, 94, of Washington, IL, passed away from this life into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Phyllis Elaine was born on October 18, 1929, in Blandinsville, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Alvin, her parents, Norman Fenton and Jessie Ruberts, and her sister Pauline Ramsay. She leaves, for a time, her four children Paula (Steve) Dietrich, Julie (Gary) Ahlgren, Lori (Bob) Franck, and Doug (Kelly) Peterson; her grandchildren Jana (Mike) Chambers, Trisha (Josh) Johnson, Hannah (Travis) Sauder, Katie (Phil) Schreifels, John (Alexa) Franck, Aaron (Jaimie) Peterson, Moriah Peterson, and Zach (Liz) Peterson; and her great-grandchildren Emma, Kaitlyn, Abby, Jacob, Madeline, Audrey, Elias, Amberly, Aven, Freya, Amara, Caellum, Briza, and Ambrose.

Elaine's family praises the Lord for His gracious gift of a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. They rejoice and are comforted in the knowledge that because of her faith in the Lord Jesus as her Savior, she is now with her Lord.

Elaine was a member of Grace Bible Church in Washington, IL, where services will be held on January 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church one hour before the service.
