Eileen C. Grohsmeyer

Eileen C. Grohsmeyer age 88 of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 11:15pm Tuesday Nov. 29, 2011 at her residence. She was born Sept. 19, 1923 in Riverside, Illinois to Martin C. and Mary U. (Honic) Steinhoff. She married John A. Grohsmeyer on Dec. 20, 1947 in Riverside, he passed away Dec. 9, 2002. Surviving are her three sons; Steven (Janeen) Grohsmeyer of Callaway, Maryland, Paul (Vicki) Grohsmeyer of Dunlap, IL, and Kurt (Donna) Grohsmeyer of Metamora; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She also survived by 2 sisters Mary Winterland of Westmont, IL, Helen (Glenn) Wright of Genoa, IL, and one brother Robert Steinhoff of Grapevine TX. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church and Metamora Womens Club. A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00am Saturday Dec. 3, 2011 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Metamora with Father Don Roszkowski officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9am until 10:30am at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Cremation rites will be accorded after Mass.
