WASHINGTON?Edith S. Grenzebach, 88, of Washington, passed away at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Washington Christian Village. Edith was born on April 24, 1924 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Harvey and kate Swanner Curlee. She married Raymond R. Grenzebach on February 24, 1946 in Charlotte. Among those surviving are her husband, Raymond of Washington; five daughters, Carolyn (Dan) Lucas of Bakersfield, California, Sally (Paul) Cady of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Sue (David) Hopper of Farmington, Connie (Kurt) Berlett of Washington and Cindy (Brad) Lovell of East Peoria; a special granddaughter, Heather (Terry) Shaw of Dunlap; one brother, Richard (Joyce) Curlee of Cary, North Carolina; 13 grandchildren and lots of great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Russell Grenzebach; two brothers and one sister. Edith was a member of Grace Bible Church in Washington. She loved her children dearly and spending time with them whenever possible. In her spare time she would sew and enjoyed singing. Edith also attended Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Grace Bible Church with Pastor Adam Kipp officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.
