Dylan Reed Fauber

September 23, 1997 — November 24, 2023

Dylan Reed Fauber, 26, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 2:31 pm on Friday, November 24, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

He was born on September 23, 1997, in Peoria, IL, to Chip and Angie (Whitney) Fauber.

Surviving are his mother, Angie Fauber of West Des Moines, IA; grandparents, Jeannie Kapraun of Ava, MO, Richard Whitney of Norwood, IL, and Kenneth and Sharlene Fauber of Metamora, IL; great-grandmother, Vera Thatcher of Metamora, IL; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; two special aunts, Kaylee Kapraun of Clemons, IA and Valerie (Jeff) Cooper of Lincoln, IL; and his beloved dogs, Oaklyn and Payton. He was preceded in death by his father.

Dylan was a lover of all animals. He was known to have brought along any one of them, even a chicken or raccoon, for a truck ride or a quick stop at his favorite watering hole. His two dogs, Oaklyn and Payton, were consistently by his side. Oaklyn always riding shotgun with her head out of the window.

Dylan had many hobbies over the years—art, tattooing, tree work, and music, with a passion for collecting related treasures.

Anyone who knew Dylan could always count on a smile, how's it going, and usually some sarcastic remark. But, also a kind heart, a genuine friend, and a truly amazing soul. Music was a true love and passion of Dylan's. If he was around, it was never in silence. He was always striking up a conversation or playing some tunes. The love and laughter he brought to life touched so many and is how he will forever be remembered.  Although we wish we could have had more time with him, our family and all his friends are grateful Dylan was a part of our lives. He would want everyone to remember the love and laughter he brought to our lives and share that with others.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Spring Bay American Legion on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
