Dorothy E. "Dot" McMurtry, 87, of Hanna City, IL passed away at 12:39 pm on Friday, January 1, 2016 at her residence. She was born on October 16, 1928 in Spring Bay, IL to Christian and Lula (Garber) Hoshor. Surviving are her son David Martin of Peoria; sister Shirley Munz of Largo, FL; niece Debbie (Denny) Hines of Hanna City whom she resided with; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Catherine Hoshor, and brothers James, Richard, and Donald Hoshor. Dot was a data processor working for WABCO for 32 years and then Caterpillar for 10 years. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Reverend Vincent Marolla officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery, Spring Bay.
