Obituary

Donna E. Williamson, 95, of East Peoria, Illinois, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka.

She was born on May 18, 1931, in Pekin, Illinois, to Fred and Bertha Harbbets Liescheidt. Donna married Bill Williamson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria, in the parsonage, on July 14, 1950. He passed away on August 19, 2018. She was also preceded in death by one son, Greg, one sister, Harriett Goldberg, two brothers, David and Tommy Leischeidt

She is survived by her son Steve (Twila) Williamson, daughter-in-law Kathy Williamson, and granddaughters Katie (Dan) Ransom and Jennifer (Brad Perry) Williamson. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren.

She was the bookkeeper for Williamson Rod and Blind, established in 1962, and remained in that role until 1994.

Bill and Donna loved exploring the United States in their motorhome, creating wonderful memories along the way. They also marked a special milestone by celebrating their 60th anniversary on a beautiful Alaskan cruise. She loved gardening, playing the piano, and the organ. She loved thrift shopping, always finding something special that made her smile. She truly treasured the special times she shared with her family. Donna will always be cherished as a loving wife, caring mother, proud grandmother, and dear friend.

The family sincerely appreciates the compassionate caregivers at Apostolic Christian Home for the exceptional care they offered to Donna and her family.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 am on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Pastor Matthew Synnott will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until her service time at 10:30. A private family inurnment will be at Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria.
