Donald Ray Owen

Kewanee?Donald (Don) Ray Owen, 62, of Kewanee, passed away at 11:40 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on November 25, 1950 in Peoria to Lester Ray and Frances Germany Owen. He married Susan Glaski. Don was proceeded in death by his wife and parents. Surviving are two sisters, Kay Saunders of Washington and Maralyn Owen of Chicago, a nephew, Chris Driscoll of Spring Bay and Samantha Schnieder of Morton. Don was a graduate of Kewanee High School where he played bass guitar in a popular band, "Cold Water Army". He served in the U.S. Navy from 1970-1974. Don had worked many years at the Hotel Kewanee and most recently worked in a DJ business. Burial of cremains will be Olio Cemetery in Eureka with private graveside rites accorded. Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington is assisting the family in arrangements. The family requests no flowers.
