Donald L. Heck

Donald L. Heck, 91, of LowPoint, IL passed away at 12:28 pm on Sunday, July 31, 2016 surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born on January 1, 1925 in Cazenovia, IL to Marion J. and Olga E. (Winkler) Heck. He married Loretta G. Call on June 20, 1944 in Eureka, IL. She passed away on February 13, 2015. Surviving are his children Donna J. Holocker and Dennis (Peggy) Heck both of LowPoint; grandchildren Donald (Colette) Holocker of Lacon, Scott Holocker of Bayview Gardens, Lori (Rodney) Fandel of LowPoint, and Tami (Paul) McCaw of Peoria Heights; great-grandchildren Sarah (Brandon) Craig, Rose Holocker, James Holocker, Edward Holocker, Drake Fandel, and Hunter McCaw; great-great-granddaughters Addalyn Crow and Juliana Grace Craig; and brother Howard (Darlene) Heck of Pekin. He was preceded in death by son-in-law Gilbert Holocker, great-grandson Brant McCaw, and brother Eldon Heck. Don worked at Pabst Brewery for 32 years as a fireman oiler, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the NRA and the Woodford County Farm Bureau. He was an avid duck hunter, deer hunter and Cubs fan. He attended Oak Grove Church of the Brethren in Bricktown, IL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00 am at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Reverend Robert DeBolt officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery.
