Donald "Donnie" Harris

Donald "Donnie" R. Harris, 46, of Peoria, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born on November 18, 1975, in Peoria, the son of Joseph and Deborah Kemper Harris.

Surviving is his father, Joseph Harris of Jacksonville, FL; his mother, Deborah (Jim) Elias of Washington, IL; two daughters Desiree Harris of Bartonville, IL, and Sarah Harris of Washington, IL, and one son Derik (Jessica) Harris of Pekin, IL. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Thea Bright and Jasper Harris; two brothers Bruce Harris Sr. of Jacksonville, FL, and Joseph Harris of Peoria, IL.  one sister Beth (Jerry) Ratton of Washington, IL. One infant sister Melissa Harris preceded him in death.

Donnie was the owner and operator of Don Harris Construction in Washington. He enjoyed playing pool, listening to rock & roll music, and spending time with his family and friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
