Diane J. (Elliott) Eiermann

Diane J. Eiermann, 87, of Germantown Hills, IL passed away at 9:45 am on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on March 28, 1934 in Clinton, IA to Dwight and Alta J. (Oostenryk) Elliott. She married George W. Eiermann on July 1, 1956 in Toulon, IL. He passed away on November 13, 2018.

Surviving are her two daughters, Jean (Terry) Wilmarth of Germantown Hills and Susan Berg of Oscoda, MI; four grandchildren, Meg Wilmarth, Laura (Ross) Baize, Ashley Berg, and Allison Berg; five great-grandchildren, Julian and Isla Baize, Braylin Berg, and Liam and Wade Berg-Cowling; and brother, Lyle (Gayle) Elliott of Niles, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Emily Underwood.

Diane was a teacher for Germantown Hills District #69 for 24 years. She was a member of Eureka Christian Church in Eureka, IL. Diane loved sewing, gardening, reading, and traveling with her husband. She was a member of P.E.O. (Philanthropic Education Organization) Eureka Chapter and the 20th Century Club. Diane, along with her husband, were charter members of the Germantown Hills Education Association. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Eureka Christian Church with Reverend Jennie Churchman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service on Friday at the church.
