Dennis "Denny" E. Seckler

Dennis E. "Denny" Seckler, 79, of Metamora, IL passed away at 8:36 am on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Reflections Memory Care in Washington, IL. He was born on June 16, 1942, in Peoria, IL, to Everett and Mildred (Donahue) Seckler. He married Mildred F. "Suzie" Adams on June 22, 1963 in Washington, IL.

Surviving are his wife Mildred of Metamora; son, Dennis L. Seckler of Prophetstown, IL; granddaughters, Emily (Cameron) Casconi of St. Louis, MO and Anna M. Seckler of East Peoria, IL; and sisters, Edna Marchand, Candace Miller, Mary Shawback, Jeannie Stivers, and Teresa Seckler. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Arnold, Steve, Bruce, and Norman, and infant sister.

Denny was a computer programmer for Caterpillar Tractor Company. He was a member of the Construction Laborers 165 in Peoria and Pattonsburg Christian Church. He was a past square dance caller, loved doing leather work from his home, and enjoyed doing yard work. Denny and Suzie loved traveling, especially to Hawaii.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Reverend Tim Barber officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bell Plain Cemetery in Pattonsburg, IL.
