Dennis R. Adams

Dennis R. Adams, 75, of Metamora, Passed away at 4:53am, Monday, December 2, 2019, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

He was born on May 11, 1944, in Oak Park, IL the son of Robert and Mildred Grantz Adams. He married Lenier D Koutny on March 26, 1963 in Chicago.

Surviving are his wife, two sons Cary Mraz of Islamorda, FL, Jamie (Paula) Adams of Metamora, IL; two daughters Patti (Tim) Ciszek of Villa Park, IL and Michelle (Tony) Himmel of Mason City, IL; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 half-brothers Bob Adams and Richard Adams along with four half-sisters Marge Bauman, Barbara Tisai, Cindy Jansky, Toni Averbeck.  His parents, 2 half brothers William and Jerry preceded him in death.

He was the owner operator of a small trucking company for many years based out of Central Illinois. He enjoyed his family and lived life to the fullest, Dennis had many hobbies including classic cars, collecting antiques, attending any type of auction and as an FFL dealer attending gun shows.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, December 15, 2019, from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Kouri's Grill and Bar in Germantown Hills.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to OSF Richard L.
