Delores Jean Sanders, 81, of Washington, IL passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Louisville, KY on May 28, 1937, to Willie Mae Harris. Delores was preceded in death by her husband Frank Sanders, daughter Patricia Belvin and one son Michael Harris.

She is survived by her daughter Tasha (Paul) Nettles of Washington and several grandchildren, including locally, Jacob, Lauren, Cameron and Victoria Nettles.

Delores moved to Central Illinois 19 years ago after living in Chicago since the age of 17. During her working career, she worked at a local automobile company for 20 years until they closed their doors in 1980. Afterwards, she dedicated herself to helping terminally ill seniors in their homes.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, June 22, 2018, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. There will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
