Deborah J. Maples

WASHINGTON - Deborah Jane (Shelton) Maples, 56 of Washington, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born August 15th, 1960 in Peoria, the daughter of Johnny Harvey Shelton and Marilyn Joyce Bowling.

Surviving are her children Kellie Hedge (Austen Meeks) of Washington and Tyler Maples (Amber Reedy) of Marquette Heights; 5 grandchildren, Adalynn and Oliver Meeks and Makenzi, Laila and Conor Maples; sisters Barbara Shelton of East Peoria and Nancy (Shelton) Howard of Washington; brother Johnny "JR" (Angie) Shelton Jr. of Peoria Heights, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her long time best friend, Mark French of Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kevin Shelton and two sisters, Brenda (Shelton) McGarvey and Michelle (Shelton) Quenon.

Debbie was a very strong, caring person who devoted her life to caring for all of her loved ones and was known as a second mom to many. As we all know Debbie loved to have a good time and was usually the life of the party. She loved to watch Nascar, listen to music and spend time with her family and friends.
