Deborah L. Keller, 58, of Bay View Garden, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday Evening, February 9, 2014 at her residence. She was born on December 4, 1955 in Peoria the daughter of Vestel and Norma Easley Dykes. She married Rickey E. Keller on October 19, 1974 in Washington. Surviving are her husband, two sons Joseph (Amanda) Keller of Old Mill Creek, IL and Curtis (Teri) L. Keller of East Peoria, and a grandmother to seven grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers Gregory (Patricia) Dykes and Brian (Elaine) Dykes both of Bay View Gardens. She worked for several years at Methodist Hospital, OSF St. Francis Medical Center and a number of odd jobs for a total of 16 years all in Peoria. Deborah was a 50-year member of the Spring Bay American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her grandkids, loved riding in her 69 Camaro and proudly showing it at classic car shows and cruise-ins. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, sitting around a fire spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. The family would like to thank her caregiver Don Thorne for all the compassion and kindness that he gave for her and her family. Cremation Rites have been accorded. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Mason Funeral Home in Germantown Hills from 10am until noon to celebrate Deborah?s life. Mason Funeral Home in Germantown Hills is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of Flowers memorials in her name may be given to a trust fund established at any CEFCU for her grandchildren?s education.
