Deangela "Angie" D. (Foote) Kimbro

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of DeAngela D. "Angie" Kimbro, who departed this earth on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the age of 51, following a brave battle with cancer.

Angie, of Metamora, IL, was born on March 23, 1973, in Pekin, IL to Carolyn Fenner (Martin) and Charles Foote. Angie was a 1991 graduate of Metamora Township High School and a 1995 graduate of the University of Illinois Grainger College of Engineering.

She married G. Matthew Kimbro on June 24, 1995 in Bartonville, IL.

Angie was passionate about many things and was an active servant in our community. She coached the Metamora Runnin' Red, participated in the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria Run, and sewed countless costumes for the MTHS madrigals, musicals and theater programs.

Angie was a fundamental member of the Metamora Christian Union Church, involved in youth programs, worship team and was the church council president. One of her greatest joys in life, however, was serving at the Chanku Waste Ranch in South Dakota every summer. Throughout her time on this earth, Angie touched the hearts of many with her giving spirit and will be remembered for the countless lives that she touched.

Angie is survived by her husband Matthew, of 30 years, along with her four daughters, Carolyn (Josh) Kimbro-Scheirer of Memphis, TN, Darrell Kimbro of Metamora, IL, Sarah Kimbro of Madison, WI, and Rebecca Kimbro of Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her mother, stepfather, brother, and father.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at the OSF Cancer Center and the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home for the excellent care Angie received over the course of her journey.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Christian Union Church with a memorial service following at 3:00 pm with Pastor Gary Salm officiating.
