David Rousey

David L. Rousey, 80, a lifelong resident of Funks Grove, Illinois, joined his heavenly family on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Charter Senior Living in Washington, Illinois.

He was born on July 31, 1945, in Peoria, the son of Vernon and Elizabeth Pfohman Rousey.

Surviving family members include two sisters: Carol Sue Spring of Washington, Illinois and Bessie A. Swearingen of Peoria Heights, Illinois; one brother, Paul A. Rousey of Washington; and his bird-watching cousin Terry (Dewi) White of Bloomington, Illinois. He was preceded in death by three brothers—Raymond, Donald, and Stephen—and one sister, Myra Linden, as well as an infant sister, Audrey.

David was a dedicated lifelong farmer and a hardworking member of U.N.A. Local LiUNA 362 in Bloomington, Illinois, where he contributed for 32 years. He was also a talented mechanic, able to repair just about anything. He was loved by many for his kind heart.

A funeral service is set for 11 am on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Funks Grove Church in Funks Grove. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will follow at the Funk’s Grove Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson Foundation. Mason White Funeral Home in Washington is handling arrangements.
