Corporal David Vincent O?Shea, 24, of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, formerly of Metamora, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Hawaii. He was born on February 21, 1990 in Albuquerque, NM to Matthew C. and LaVerne (Armijo) O?Shea. He married Ambrosia Delgadillo on December 30, 2009 in Woodford County. She survives. Also surviving are his parents Matthew (Heidi) O?Shea and LaVerne Armijo, all of Metamora; sons Apolinar Delgadillo and Dorian O?Shea of Metamora; siblings Kevin (Amy) O?Shea of West LaFayette, IN, Matthew O?Shea of St. Louis Park, MN, Kaitlyn O?Shea of Peoria, Rosemary O?Shea of Metamora; step-brothers Christian Sauder of Metamora and Andrew Thomas of Peoria; grandmothers Lilian O?Shea of Rockport, MA and Rosemary Armijo of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins across the United States. David graduated from Metamora Township High School. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army and had served in Afghanistan. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 64 with the rank of Life Scout. He was a proud member of the local metal music community. He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Metamora. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Pastor Mike Danner officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Metamora.
