Daryl  C. "Smudge" McCoy, 52, of Washington passed away at 5:26 a.m. Sunday, December 8, 2019, at his residence.  He was born on December 6, 1967, in Peoria the son of Dale and Virginia O'Dell McCoy.  He married Melissa McGinnis on October 14, 2000 in Peoria.

Surviving are his mother of Washington and one daughter Kelsie McCoy of Peoria. Also surviving are one aunt and three uncles.  His father preceded him in death.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A memorial visitation will be from 2:00PM until 3:00PM Friday, December 13, 2019, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington.  A celebration of life service will follow at 3:00PM also at the funeral home.  Pastor Doug Hicks will officiate.
