WASHINGTON...Daniel Lee Parlier, 70, of Washington, passed away at 1:32 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Fondulac Care Center in East Peoria. Dan was born on October 25, 1941 in Peoria to Marion and Madena Ritter Parlier. He married Janet D. McDonald in Chicago on February 6, 1965. Janet survives. Also surviving is one son, Johnny (Debbie Plunk) of East Peoria; three granddaughters, Ashley, Alice (and Mike) and Suzy and eight great grandchildren. Dan was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Dan retired from Caterpillar after 30 years and had worked in East Peoria as a heat treat operator. He also had served in the US Air Force from 1960 to 1964. In his spare time Dan enjoyed time with his son building and racing cars, going to car shows and cruise-ins. He was a member of the River Valley Drifters Club. At Dan?s request, no services will be held and he has donated his body to medical research. Mason-White Funeral Home is assisting Dan?s family in his wishes. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or the Crittendon Center in Peoria.
