Daniel A. Witt

Daniel Alfred Witt, age 78, of Peoria, IL, entered into eternal life at 2:12pm on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at OSF Richard L. Owen's Hospice Home, Peoria, IL.

He was born in Peoria, IL on March 5, 1939 to Alfred and Bertha (Pharris) Witt. He married Phyllis Bell on November 21, 1958 in Ottuwma, Iowa. They were happily married for 59 years. A loving father to Daniel and Jeffrey Witt, Richard Hayes; 3

He was a painter for over 45 years for Local 157, working for the Peoria Public School District and teaching in the painter's apprenticeship program. He loved the Lord, his family, the outdoors, working hard, story-telling, and was the life of the party.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at St. Philomena Catholic Church. Fr. David Richardson will celebrate. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am and continue until the time of Mass. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, West Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to OSF Richard L.
