WASHINGTON?Dale J. Wiechman, 52, of Washington, passed away at 1:22 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Dale was born on July 31, 1961 in Peru, Illinois to Donald and Elizabeth "Betty" (Lavens) Wiechman. Among those surviving is his wife, Judy Tillman Wiechman of Washington; his mother, Betty Wiechman of Metamora; two daughters, Allison (Aaron) Nenne and Lauren (Brian) Tedder, both of Washington; son, Cole (Anne) Wilson of Washington; two sisters, Susan (Eric) Tondi of Standard, Illinois and Janet (Dallas) Rooney of Bad Axe, Michigan; two brothers, Dean (Maureen) Wiechman of Washington and Glenn (Sharon) Wiechman of Elmhurst; five loving grandchildren, Ava, Aubrey, Miles, Izzy and Zoey and his dearest companion, Renee Horaney of Morton. He was preceded in death by his father. Dale had been co-owner of D?s Paint & Body Shop in Peoria. He was a graduate of Metamora High School and earned an associate?s degree from ICC. Dale was an avid golfer, a car enthusiast, enjoyed woodworking and home projects. He had been a member of and had taught Sunday School at Our Savior Lutheran Church and had also attended Crossroads United Methodist Church and Richwoods Christian Church. A service to celebrate Dale?s life will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at St. Mark?s Lutheran Church in Washington with Pastor Dick Hanson officiating with a time of fellowship and sharing story?s about Dale following the service in the Family Life Center of St. Mark?s. In keeping with Dale?s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and Mason-White Funeral Home is assisting the family in arrangements. Memorials for Dale may be directed to the Children?s Hospital of Illinois.
