Dale Duane Fredricks

Dale D. Fredricks, 74, of Morton, passed away at 11:33pm Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born on January 7, 1942 in Peoria the son of Behrand and Velma Broers Fredericks. He married Linda J. Witty on March 29, 1985 in Peoria. Surviving are his wife, two sons Tony Fredericks of Wenona, IL, and Todd (FiancAC.' Keely Hendrix) Fredericks of Minonk. Also surviving is one daughter Tammy (Robert) Weiss of Minonk, two stepdaughters Tami (Michael) Cooper of Washington and Valerie (Ronald) Morris of Peoria Heights as well as 7 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. One infant daughter Tanya and one sister Gwendolyn Smith preceded him in death. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 30 years retiring in 1996. Dale was a lifelong sports fan following the Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox and the Boston Celtics. He loved his family; his dogs and will be missed by all. At the request of Dale, cremation rites have been accorded. The family will hold a private memorial service remembering his life and has requested memorials in his name be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
