Cynthia K. Hodel

Cynthia K. Hodel, 64, of Metamora, IL passed away at 8:45 pm on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Trustbridge Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, FL. She was born on December 12, 1951 in Peoria, IL to Ernest and Dorothy (Binkele) Haefli. She married Richard W. Hodel on October 19, 1973 in Eureka, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her siblings Randy Haefli of Arlington, TX, Joyce (David) Snider of Princeville, IL, Joan (Joe) Stieglitz of Germantown Hills, and Heidi (Tal) Kaufmann of St. Louis, MO; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Casey. She was preceded in death by her parents. Cindy graduated from ISU in 1973. She worked as a graphic designer and was in quality control for Multi-Ad in Peoria for many years. She enjoyed antiquing, traveling in her RV, family activities, gardening, and flowers. She and Rick wintered in Florida at Camp Boca. She was an avid pet lover. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel. A private family service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 with burial in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Peoria.
