Curtis Fauth, 82, beloved Father, Spouse, Son, Brother, Father-in-law, Grandfather, and stepfather, was called to his eternal resting place on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
He entered this world on September 19, 1942, in Peoria, IL, born to Carl and Dorothy Kuntz Fauth.
He is survived by his son Douglas Fauth (Kathy), daughter Lynne Prather (Dean), sister Jeannie Herrin, grandchildren Tyler Fauth, Nic Fauth, Ashley McMurtry (Dylan), Abigail Brooks, Hanna Brooks, Ian Brooks and three step children Rod Miller (Andrea), Renee Langdon (Pat) and Robert Miller (Fatima).
Curt graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Parsons and a Master's Degree from Illinois State University. He worked as a teacher, counselor, and coach and loved sports of all kinds. He enjoyed working with his players and students to help them achieve their potential both on and off the field. He was a lifelong Cubs and Bears fan who was thrilled to see the Cubs win a World Series.
Outside of his work, he was a servant of God, enjoying ministry work that included leading Bible studies, prayer groups, missionary work, and pastoral work. His faith was at the center of all he did.
Everywhere he went, people enjoyed his light-heartedness and infectious humor. He was optimistic and put smiles on people's faces. He loved spending time with his family, playing cards, reading books, and writing poetry and short stories. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
A memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be one hour before his service also at the funeral home.
